Carers suffer all kinds of discrimination - at work, in the way that services are delivered and in health. Carers UK is putting evidence before the Government's review of equality legislation. They will be calling for a new duty on public bodies to promote equality between carers and people without caring responsibilites. They have already sucessfully campaigned fo this right in Northern Ireland.
Unfortunately, the Government's consultation document reveals they don't think that carers are discriminated against, so we'll be making a strong case so perhaps you might suport this and make the case for carers. The consultation closes on 3 September.
